Our inspiration: Making finance accessible
Accounting Uncovered was inspired by a simple belief: accounting and finance shouldn't feel overwhelming or inaccessible. Throughout my career, I've seen organizations struggle not because they lack passion or potential, but because they lack the financial clarity, systems, and processes needed to support growth and make informed decisions.
Expertise shaped by experience
As a CPA with more than 10 years of experience and executive-level CFO expertise, I have worked with organizations at very different stages of their journey. I've helped support significant organizational growth, build financial and operational capacity, implement new systems, strengthen reporting, and guide strategic decision-making.
I've also experienced the challenges organizations face when financial performance is not where it needs to be. In one leadership role, I joined an organization facing a significant operating deficit and helped lead a financial turnaround, restoring stability and resetting the organization within a year through improved financial management and strategic planning.
Simplifying financial management for success
One thing I want clients to understand is that effective financial management doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, some of the best solutions are often the simplest. Throughout my career as a CPA and finance executive, I've seen organizations become overwhelmed by overly complex processes, excessive reporting, and systems that create more work than value. While information is important, more information isn't always better.
My approach focuses on finding the right balance: simple, practical processes that people will actually follow; reporting that highlights what matters most; and systems that support decision-making without creating unnecessary complexity. Whether I'm helping a small business establish its accounting foundation or supporting a not-for-profit organization through growth and change, my goal is to create solutions that are clear, sustainable, and easy to manage.
